hey guys i know i abandoned my blog for quite a while. haha. so here i am wennie.
i'm munching on this lao po bing from KL, not the one with filling but the hard and crunchy one, if u know which one. haha yummy.
finally back from all the shopping and food and heat in KL! haha did so much shopping on my part and bought many many many stuff;clothes, shoes, inner garments, blah blah blah. so many great deals like buy one get one free, RM 10 everywhere, u can seriously shop till u drop! haha even my parents cant stand me.
the food is fabulous and i mean those roadside food vendors. i really love the atmosphere though it can be smoky and hot. despite the sweat and all, it was really worth it! the chicken rice, the prawn noodles, the fishhead, gosh yum yum yum. haha i know i sound like a pig but the food's so much better than those in the typical food courts u find here in spore. so much cheaper and so much TASTIER. worth every penny!
i stayed in nova hotel for a day(its a free stay tt's y we went msia) at bukit bintang, at jalan alor where u find the food street. then for the next couple of days we lodged in alpha genesis previously called allson just a street behind nova.
went to sungei wang, lot 10 and bukit bintang plaza which is just a stone's throw away from the hotels i stayed. great shopping paradise i wld say! ahah. u can find anyth and everything. departmental stores like metrojaya and parkson gives already a huge variety. then there are the smorgasbord of shops that really cater to everyone, be it in style, tastes or choices.
further down we went to the 'newly opened' pavilion, which i've never set foot in until recently. its their first yr anniversary this year. boy u know what?? the pavilion is like this uber exorbitant and extravagant place, certainly one tt i can only window shopped! haha. its our ngee ann city plus paragon plus wisma rolled into one and much higher class. i feel so out of place in my tee shirt and shorts man. haha i went into juicy couture and felt like a princess(actually still in my casual wear haha) as i walk down their staircase. its double storeyed!!!!! theres this elegant stairs tt leads all the way down to the first floor! i know i know i'm like a country bumpkin. haha. prada, gucci etc also had this staircase thingy. so nice. haha. of course not all their shops are as posh. the others like esprit, bossini, voir, gap etc are single floored except for roxy and quiksilver tt are double storeyed, one shop above the other linked by a beachy staircase. oh ya forever 21 is like humongous!! at least 7-8 times the size of wisma's, though its still single floored. i bought earrings from there, only 15RM. sometimes i wish i had limitless amt of cash so i can shower myself with all these labeled clothes bags shoes earrings u name it. haha. then there's this huge padini store which houses vinci which is their flagship store. oh and there's the usual much higher class parkson(compared to the one at sungei wang) departmental store and tangs and a supermarket down at the basement. u can find food republic and toast box there too. and also lots of restaurants from crystal jade to manhatten fish market to angus house which specialises in serving gourmet steak. we had dinner at angus, i love beef, medium rare!! my favourite. they served soup(potato soup!! nice), bread, salad(appetiser), main course and dessert. overall it was excellent, every bite was superb haha. but the funny thing abt pavilion, unlike spore, is tt is quite 'deserted', probably cause its the weekday i guess. anyhow, i will go there again, haha. its like u will never get tired of orchard road u know.
berjaya times square was the one with all the crazy sales. u see RM 10 practically in all the shops. and the food places are quite deserted, dunno why, to the extent that they had to stand outside and promote their deals. i only like FOS at berjaya. haha. it has always been a must go whenever i shopped in msia. haaha bought this capri pants. u know i-socks? there are like so many of them all selling gothic merchandise with those gothic deco of theirs. they dont sell socks btw. i thought so when i first caught sight of the name. i find it a little amusing actually, i-socks. their shops are like so 'outstanding'. their neighbours sell typical clothes and i think they stand out like a sore thumb. no offence but ya tt's what i think.
oh ya we went to sunway lagoon as well. not to waddle in waters or play but Shop. haha as usual. went there 4 yrs ago along with my choir in ahs. played with those water rides and dry rides, i will never forget tt. now 4 years later i'm back. ahaa. but now things have changed. there's this new wing, making the shopping mall even bigger than before. the skating rink's still there though. haha. again, we covered every floor, with those overwhelming shops i see. ahaha. we lunched at this canton-i restaurant which serves hong kong food from dim sum to noodles, u know the usual at hk cafes. not bad. but why are the waiters there so gentle and overly feminine???? like they talk gently, so unlike 'man'. gives me the tingles. haha. we spent the entire day there and we caught slumdog millionaire at half price!! i didnt know wednesdays are half price days in KL!? so it was only 7Rm for one person. tt's like abt SGD3! even princess doesnt have such good deals. haha. slumdog m is this amazing movie which showed me the part of india which i dint know of. it was worse than what i had in mind. the slums and all. but the people still live their lives to the fullest, happy and contented. i think latika is so pretty!! and jamal is cute. haha. slumdog millionaire is a must watch. and the movie soundtrack is rocking!!! haha wonder if its from MIA. gonna check it out later.
chinatown was another food paradise. haaha. we ate this famous chee cheong fun for breakfast. it's like eating kway teow cause they dun cut it in spore like we do. it was not too sweet not too salty, just nice, really tantalizes the tastebuds. lunch for me was ban mian, dry, with mushrooms, chicken, black sauce, not the soupy ones. also not bad, sth diff from the ones we usually have. there also many whole-sale stalls that sell hair accessories and mini-toons stuff. some of them were quite unfriendly cause they know we weren't there for business deals. what pissed me off is this aunty tt looked at us as if we're a lower beings tt just peed at their door. like wth. okay there also many 'branded' goods at chinatown, from LV to rayban, selling at push carts. in all, i think i'll go there again for the food haha.
transport in KL is entirely different. meaning taking a cab is not a luxury. haha. it turns out tt taking a train can be more costly. hmmm, correct me if i'm wrong though. took the bus and train from where we stayed to sunway. took quite a while but it was worthwhile, haha seldom get to take the public transport there anyways.
